A Wave of Mini Weddings | Gwinnett County’s McDaniel Farm Park | Duluth, GA

Covid-19 brought about a whole wave of mini weddings or elopement style weddings, and personally, I’m a huge fan. Before the pandemic, the mainstream thing to do for marriage was to go through the whole 9 yards of booking venues, sending out invites, planning out the schedule, etc. Mini weddings weren’t really the norm or highly considered as an option. Now what I’m seeing is that many more people are open to the idea of it and prefer it.

The Local Park

Meet Anna and Daniel! Anna and I go back to our college days when we served at church together, and when she told me that she was hoping to get married locally here in Duluth (about 20 miles north of Atlanta), I was all in. They hired a local judge to officiate at Gwinnett County’s own McDaniel Farm Park.

Local Memories

You can choose an exotic place or brand new location for your wedding or engagement, but what are the chances you’ll be there again? Does that area bring up good memories and recall the people you met there? A local wedding means you get to capture that chapter of life and the place around it.
